Output for horn (honk) from EVO ALL as standalone?

0 votes
We've done a bunch of Toyota/Lexus using the EVO ALL as standalone remote starter and it works flawlessly (except the whole no key take-over part, which is inconvenient).

My question is that... these vehicles have a separate siren/speaker (very low volumed beeps) for the lock/unlock confirmation. Is there a way for the EVO ALL could produce a momentary neg output that could be connected to the horn when the lock button is pressed in order to provide a louder audible confimation that the lock signal is being received by the vehicle? A customer just commented on how this feature will be very useful

This is not an issue for the Chrysler or the Fords since their factory keyless entry lock signal is connected to the horn already.

Hey Grease Monkey,

At the moment, with the latest firmwares, all vehicles compatible as a stand alone remote starter are also compatible as a Stand Alone Alarm. The only problem, is that the install guides for stand alarm & remote starter together are not out yet and probably will not be out until for another few months as they need testing and the website would then need compatibity updates.

With the stand alone alarm option also activated, the EVO would have a dedicated horn/siren output. It would not control the volume though. volume is controlled by the vehicle.
