Nissan Rogue 2009 with Intelli-Key and Evo-One 3xLock

+1 vote
Hi, Fortin support.

I'm planning on installing Evo-One (standalone 3xLock remote start, no T-harness) into 2009 Nissan Rogue with Intelli-Key. I have a couple of questions before I proceed:

a) If the car is remote started would it still keep the car locked?

b)Once car door is opened, would it kill the engine? If not, would it be fine to just insert key to On position, press brake pedal and drive right away?

c) Will proximity sensor function the same way after install?

d) Car has a factory alarm, but since Evo-One module detects door lock signal via CanBus, will I need to tap into Arm/Disarm wires of the car ?

Thanks,
Michael

a) Yes the doors will stay locked.

b) No if the starter see you unlock the doors with either the smart handle or smart key the engine will stay running and you can turn the tumbler to ON and drive away.

c) Sure proximity function keep working like factory

d) By memory, the factory alarm will not trigger when remote starting so I'd say no connection for disarm is required. The bad part is that the car is made to unlock the doors when you shut down the engine. So if the remote start run for 15 minutes and then shut down, you will need the lock connections to relock the doors.

BTW t-harness make this installation SUPER easy I highly recommend using it, it worth every dollar.
Thank you for the reply, Mathieu.

I would acquire T-harness, but amazon.com doesn't have them and I couldn't find anything off ebay.

The following link has both, Evo-One and Thar-Nis2 t-harness, but I'm suspicious of the packaging and even though they're claiming device to be Evo-One, on the picture it clearly says AX-ST:

thanks

Kind of funny that they advertise a Nissan t-harness but the picture clearly shows a Hyundai/Kia Tharness.

The following link has both, Evo-One and Thar-Nis2 t-harness, but I'm suspicious of the packaging and even though they're claiming device to be Evo-One, on the picture it clearly says AX-ST:

Rebranded by Metra. I think they also package the unit with additional components such as remotes, shock senor, siren etc... (not sure)

Sooo... is it safe to buy and assume that I will receive actual Evo-One module and be able to follow evo-one guide on your site and not some weird device?

Thank you
I'd be more worried about the Harnes being a Kia harness and not a Nissan harness. You should contact that reseller to be sure of what you would be getting in the box.

AX-ST  = Remote Starter / Alarm only

AX-ONE = Remote Starter / Alarm with integrated bypass module
