2021 Kia k5 trying to program the evo- all not programming at the final step.

Question

Hello, I'm getting all the way to where you press the button 6 times and the light is red.
 

I press the start stop button twice to turn on the button but the light on the evo doesn't change from blinking 6 times.
 

anything I'm doing wrong? I believe all the wires are connected properly and secure.

Hi. I will grab that for you when i have a chance. Also, my guide says i need to connect the starter, IGN, and accessory wires from the remote start but mine doesnt have these wires. I'm using the mobokey with the push button start method. Those connections are mandatory.

If you remote start module does not have those outputs then you will either need one that does or you can try contacting the company who makes it and see what they suggest.

I think this remote start is setup to connect right into the push button instead of using the starter/accessory/ignition wires.

Firmware looks fine to me.

If the red led does not flash rapidly after turning ignition on then I would take a look at the yellow (A1) ignition wire and the EMS com connection, these are the 2 connections the module is looking at when you turn ignition on.

Ope yep its tht A1 ignition wire completely missed it! I will work on that and let you know if its still doing it after checking these two wires.

Still need to check the EMS comm wire but I can verify the A1 wire is good. When I go to press 6 times do I need to wait for it to finish blinking before I press each time?

it seems like now after I press it 6 times then press the stop start twice to turn on the ignition it just turns to a solid red and that's it.

press button 6x, connect all remaining connectors, turn ignition on. Again when you turn ignition on the module is checking the ignition (a1) wire and the ems com wire (A10).

No you can just press it 6 times and then just ensure you get the 5 flash and a pause repeating atferwards.
