FSA-216 remote starter not working on outlander 2011

recently bought a mistubishi outlander 2011 with the FSA-216 installed on,

the remote control light is blinking when pressing any key , the side lights of the car blinks also but there is no other action taken. . .

lock and unlock not functioning

start and turn off not functioning

what might be the solution to be able to use this device properly?

might that be a need of battery change ?

Yes it may need new batteries in the transmitter, it also may simply be in "valet mode".

You will need to locate the valet switch, it will be a 2 wire switch that plugs into the fsa-216. To enter and exit valet mode it is as follows:

1- turn the ignition to the ON position.

2- Within 10 seconds press and release the valet switch 3 times.

3- The led on the module will turn on to inform you it is in valet mode or the LED will turn off to inform you it has now exited valet mode.
