2009 Ford Focus Wiring for EVO-ALL

Question

Looking at installation manual here. Not clear to me whether you have to make a connection to (+) ignition in the steering column or not. To me it seems the obvious anwer would be yes, but I want to be absolutely sure.

Looking at the manual, I'm confused as to whether the "Connection" under the vehicle fitguide is referring only to the connection chart for the ignition barrel, or if it means only to connect the mentioned letters.

 

For example, for 2009 Ford Focus, it says A,C. Does this mean I should only be connecting the wires for connections labeled A# and C# and ignore E#? Or should I be connecting all letters listed (A#, C#, and E#)?

The letter only represent the transponder connector. Your vehicle can have either connector A or connector C. Should be A in your case you will see when you remove the steering shroud.
