EVO-ONE - 2007 Charger ignition comes on but does not start (3x Remote Start)

0 votes
Hello,

I have a 2007 Dodge Charger R/T, the new EVO-ONE bypass, THAR-CHR5 T-harness, and the Flash-Link Updater 2.  I installed the harness as a stand-alone system and followed the steps with the Flash-Link to enable the 3x Remote Start function. After installation, I try to use the remote start function and the car's ignition comes on to the point that the fuel pump even powers up, though it does not start or make an attempt to turn over.  It will do this twice before turning the ignition off, leaving just the radio and accessories on.  I tried to change settings within the Flash-Link program, though with no avail.  After I started the car manually, the check engine light came on.  This is not an issue as it went away after driving about 20 miles, but it might help diagnose the issue.  The firmware is the latest update available.  Both the Flash-Link and EVO-ONE have 10/2014 as their date, so I assume that they would be sufficient for a 8-9 year-old vehichle.

Please let me know if you have any advice, everything was going smooth and flawlessly until now.

Thank you,

Travis

For 3x Lock Start, you want to enable

  • option 38.2 in the remote starter options (i do not see this one at the moment : 002B01006040
  • option C1 - OEM Remote Monitoring in the bypass options

Bottom of the flash-link screen manager screen, there is a TOGGLE button. To access remote starter options, you need to hit the toggle button so that the text underneath reads, Connection Mode : Remote Starter. Once in the remote starter connection mode, go to the EVO-ONE Options, acroll all the way down, and change option 38 to 38.2

Looking at the bypass options, 002B02006040, you seem fine on that end.

I have done the steps that you listed above and the same issue is presenting itself.  I reset all of the parameters in the bypass and the remote start sections, then turned on option 38.2 in the remote start section and made sure that the OEM Remote Monitoring was on in the bypass section.  The ignition will come on but it will not attempt to start.  What else could be keeping it from starting?
Do you have a starter wire at pin 4 at ignition connector ?
Spoke on the phone. Jsut had to do the main ignition connections.
