2007 Compass Wont Start-Up in EVO Stand-alone mode

Installed EVO-ALL as standalone.  wired according to FORTIN wiring diagram.  Vehicle will not start with 3xLock.  If If I hook yellow black up to door sensor, it will start when the door opens, and shut off when door closes? Thinking I have the wrong external input.  Any ideas?

yellow/black is not to be connected. It acts as a start/stop input that connects to various other modules, not the vehicle.

If it's not woprking with the remotes, that means the evo is not detecting the lock commands, or option C1 - OEM remote monitoring is not enabled. The EVO not detecting the remotes would be caused by the programming. At step 9 of the programming procedure, you need to hit lock on the factory remote, do not press the button on the EVO.

Yes Robert thank you! I can't believe it caused me that much frustration. One additional question, I hooked up the brn/wht wire to a relay to turn on the parking lights, I checked the line and it goes 12v hot with the lights, but the brn/wht does not provide enough (neg) signal to activate relay. Any suggestions for another wire that provides enough (neg) ground? Thanks again for your insight!
