Do I need to connect everthing to the Prostart 6 button unit to have it work with my EVO-CHR5?

I connected the CT-3471 TW to the Evo as it shows on page 6 of the installation guide with a direct connection to the battery. I cut the red 12 volt battery wire on the data-link 4 pin and put in a direct line to the battery for 12 volts. Ignition wires were joined and a line out to the parking lights made. When connected, the prostart would click 4 times and do nothing else. still able to use the EVO remote start.

4 clicks is when the prostart powers up and sets its mode (auto or manual depending on yellow loop), where are your 2 red 12v wires from the prostart connected? where is your ground connected? have you programmed your remote? have you changed the options for Fortin 1 way under bypass type?

Thank you for the directions. I only had 1 power line connected, ground was to a frame ground, I had no response to programming the remote, and I guess I need to order the fortin programmer to change the bypass type. Thank you. I will do these and try again.
the bypass type is a selectable option in the prostart programming, under menu 4.
