FORTIN FTX-64-2W REMOTES FLASHES RED

0 votes
I have a simple question. I have a 2015 Toyota Rav4 with a Fortin EVO remote start which works fine. I'm just wondering when pressing the remote start button on the remote it's supposed to light up green when it communicates with the remote start showing that it was a successful start. Well the car starts with no problem, but the remote flashes red as if it didn't start. Why doesn't it ever flash green if the car starts successfully? Should I be concerned?

Thanks.

Have you had it for a while? REd flashing normally indicates low battery in the remote

Actually I just installed the system this past Saturday so it has only been 3 days.
Any other thoughts on this? I can start with the batteries, but if I take out the batteries and check will I have to reprogram the remote? I also assume that I just remove the two screws on the back in order to open it?
Remote is locked, press [-] and then Lock + [-] for 3 sec
Do both remotes flash red after sending a command?
Ok I will try that!
Yes Robb, they both flash red but the car starts normally!
Mathieu, the remote isn't locked. It still works. I tried doing what you said and both remotes still flashes red. I guess I'm the only person with the remote that this is happening to. I guess if I can't see my car from the window I can't verify that the car started since I get a red light two way response indicating it didn't start even though I went to the car and it's running. Very frustrating.
If both remotes have no confirmation, that sounds like a bad antenna or damaged antenna wire...

When you start I guess the LED flash blue a couple times and then red ?
Yes that's correct. It flashes blue then red at the end. Car starts normally with no problem. So odd!
I have this probelm with my EVO all in my 2010 Nissan Altima but only with one of the remotes, other one works properly.
I have this same issue, one fob works fine (gets a reply, flashes green). The other pulses blue, starts the car, but then flashes red as if it did not get a reply. Did you find a solution for your problem?
