I have a 2018 Mazda CX 5 . Can someone explain the proper way to remove the steering column cover without causing any damage? Thanks for any help.

I just did it with mine... It helps to release the stearing column adjustment lever and raise the column all the way up and towards the driver. There are 2 screws on the bottom of the column. After they are removed, you may gently pri appart the top and bottom sections of the column cover. Once the clips are popped, the bottom cover slides towards the driver(there is an L shaped clip dead center on the inside that you have to slide out of) At this point the bottom half should come free. You don't need to remove the top, just the bottom.
