Do I need the flash link?

Do I need the flash link for the evo CHRT-5 for my 2006 Dodge Ram?

If you are instaling this as a stand alone remote starter using 3x lock then yes you will need the flash-link updater 2 to turn on the stand alone option(D1) as well as the oem remote monitoring(C1) and if it is equipped with a oem alarm you will need to turn on optaion D2.
