2011 fusion standalone mode unit doesnt start just flashes lights

2011 ford fusion. t harness used. wired in stand alone mode. All wires checked and double checked programming successful remote start works good 90 percent of the time every so often when you hit the lock buton to start the car. The car wont start and the lights flash like the flashers are turned on. the evo box clicks repeatedly and the car wont start remotely. You have to manually start the car. Any thoughts as to what could cause this.

I have a few questions....

  • What is the service number of the EVO?
  • What do the LEDs on the evo do when remote starting fails?
  • Are the lock-unlock wires connected to the vehicle from the evo? If so remove them.
  • What color are the Can-Hi / Can-Lo that you are connected to on the vehicle?
  • Does ignition turn on when it fails remote starting?

Ill have to pull the unit out and look. Its up inside the dash at the moment. Not sure what you mean by ignition turning on. The car doesnt start.
He means does the vehicle power up as if you turned the ignition key to the IGN position (just before cranking), Gauges power up, warning lights turn on, etc... BUT does not crank.
