What firmware do I use for evo-all on a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?

The instruction for this truck says firmware 4.06 only.  If you read further on the instruction it says min firmware 4.06.  When I flashed I did the recommended firmware which wasn't 4.06.  I can't get the door locks to work.  I did the 3 wire hookup and you can tell the bypass and door triggers are working, but not the door lock/unlock.  This truck is the non-standard version and the wires for door lock/unlock isn't in the body control module.  I was hoping to control through the evo-all network to lock/unlock.  Do I have to wire in to the door locks, or will the door lock/unlock work through pin #2 of OBD 2 diagnostic port?  Also, what options settings must be on for this truck?  Any information appreciated.  thank you

Hi Mike,

Firmware 4.06 or the latest GM firmware, 74.[14], will work for that vehicle. If you are not getting door locks, I'd be curious to know if the vehicle comes with a factory remote, since those are the codes we normally try to replicate.

Some notes...:

  • Whenever the EVO is receiving a command such as Lock and Unlock, the BLue LED will flicker.
  • Test door locks by grounding the purple or purple/white wires of the EVO.
  • EVO-ALL options should just be factory settings, no need to play around with them. If you did, I'd recomment a Master Reset as it would set everything back to default

MAster REset:

1- Hold down programming button while plugging in datalink connector.
2- Let go of button when LED is RED.
3- Push and hold button again until all three LEDs start to alternate.
4- Disconnect unit, she is now reset.
