Can't program key data into EVO-CHRT6 (Step 5)

+1 vote
Fortin EVO-ALL installed on a 2014 Dodge Dart. I did the install with a T-Harness, and purchased the Flashlink Updater 2 as well. I hooked everything up, and began to program the module. When I get to step 5 to program the key, I insert the key into the ignition and nothing happens. The red light does not illuminate, and the yellow light stays on. I've done a bit of research, and I have checked my lt blue wire and lt blue/black wire connections, and even checked for continuity through the t-harness connectors and I have continuity through the harness. I also tested the CAN-Bus by releasing on blue and turning on the key, and the blue light flashed and seemed to work correctly. After programming the CAN-Bus, pressing lock/unlock on my remote makes the blue light flash, and when I turn on my key, the yellow light comes on. I just can't get my key to program into the system. Any help appreciated.

Try flashing firmware 74.22 into the module and then reprogram the module in the vehicle, then redo the DCryptor process.

That did the trick! Thanks so much I've been checking and double checking wires over and over but that fixed my problem.

I'm just having one more issue now. I remote start the vehicle, then get in and turn on the key. Then I put my foot on the brake pedal and the car shuts off. I understand that it is supposed to do this if I don't put the key in, but I have my key in when it happens. Thanks for your help so far.

EDIT: I figured out I just need to insert the key and wait about five seconds before hitting the brake.
Same exact issue on my 2013 Dodge Ram (ON ORIGINAL ISSUE). My evo was already set at 74.22..so I flashed to recommended 74.28. still not accepting key tip data. What do you mean by redo DCryptor. Is that done prior to programming in vehicle as well? My EVO-CHRT6 is a preloaded ver 74.22 build date 12/16
