evoall loses memory when battery disconneted

installed in 2005 dodge ram with compustar 6200 in data mode    service #001A06 238980     replaced with another unit seems ok     should i try in another vehicle with different download or send back   thanks don

Your call. I'd keep it for another vehicle though.

Little tip when changing firmwares, the EVO likes to see a master reset sometimes, here is the procedure:

1- Hold down programming button while plugging in datalink connector.
2- Let go of button when LED is RED.
3- Push and hold button again until all three LEDs start to alternate.
4- Disconnect unit, she is now reset.
