'19 Ram promaster

Hello, I am looking to get remote start only for my '19 Ram 1500 promaster. It does not have remote start or alarm now. It uses a standard turn key. According to the website it says I can use the EVO-ONE. Looking at the install instructions on page 5, it shows what looks to be a remote starter module of some sort?

Am I looking at the right instructions for this setup?

If so, do I need another part?

Also, is there a t-harness made for this yet?

Thanks!

For that vehicle you would need the following for remote start using the OEM remote:

1- evo-one

2- flash link updater

This would be the programming and installation guide: https://fortin.ca/download/68631/evo-one_ig_reg_bi_chr-ram-promaster_2014-2017_key_c_68631.pdf

At this time no t-harness exists. The entire installation must be manually spliced into the vehicles exisiting wiring.

Thank you very much Derek.

Question, on the wiring diagram, I assume dashed wires are optional?

Specifically where D2 and E3 connect. Do I need to connect D2 to E3 for this to work or is it optional?

The key release connection you are referring to is optional and not mandatory on automatic transmission vehicles.

Well I thought I had this one licked but apparently not.

Got everything hooked up as per wiring diagram (15 wires) and instructions. Went through the setup process:

Setup --> Blue
Ignition on --> Blue off then flashed
Ignition off --> Blue off, Red on
Ignition on --> Yellow on, red off then red back on
Cycled ignition approx. 10 times until red and yellow alternate.
Unplugged and hooked up to PC

Loaded updater and latest firmware. Ran Dcyrypter, no errors. Saved settings.

Reconnected back to the truck, no leds. Started truck with key, yellow led light only when running.

All doors and hood closed (yes pin switch was installed and tested, grounded only when hood open).

Lock -> One blue led flash
Unlock -> 2 blue led flash
Lock -> 1 blue led flash

No response there after, no remote start. I tried other lock, unlock combinations as well.

Serial number 002B04 219609

My key is a flip key with unlock, lock, and rear door lock buttons.

Any suggestions?

As always thank you.
You never enabled the option for l-ul-l start. Which are options C1 in the bypass and option 38.5 in the remote starter.

Also looks like you have hit the dcryptor limit. Meaning you need to re program the module to the vehicle including re sending dcryptor.
Yes I made sure C1 was on. How do I change the options for the starter? I do not see any starter options on the flash link program. Are there different flash link hardware? The one I have is the size of a USB stick.
Click on the gear in the upper right hand corner.

Click "go to pro mode"

Click on the tab that says remote starter

Select 38.5 and

Click "save options"
I added a comment as you answered the 1st one sry. Does the flash link I have support pro mode?
Yes it will.
After re reading this thread, I realized that the flash link you have does not have the provision to access the remote starter side of the evo-one. You have a flash link light, not a flash link updater as I suggested above.

I would suggest getting in contact with your point of purchase in regards on how to proceed.
Yeah I had a feeling that was going to happen. Thank you Derek I will order the other one.
Hi Derek, finally got the right flash updater. Everything updated and now works perfectly. Thanks for all your help. Looking forward to doing other vehicles with this product.
Glad you got it going.

Best Regards.
